EVERY SUMMER AFTER
Consider me a Carley Fortune fan now because that was perfection. Wowzer. I loved it!
Percy's family buys a lakeside cottage when she's 13 and she starts spending summers next door to Sam Florek. It's a classic friends to lovers (my favorite) and second chance romance story. GAH! It's so well done! Reminded me a little of Rewind It Back in the Windy City series, if you loved that, you will love this.
You know there's a terrible reason why Percy and Sam didn't speak for 12 years and you're dreading learning what it is but you also HAVE to know what it is and then once you know what it is… 😭😭🤬🤬
I can't wait to read One Golden Summer now which follows Sam's brother Charlie. But so far, Sam and Percy are everythinggggg. 5/5
ONE GOLDEN SUMMER
Sweet story, a little slow, which is supposed to be lake life I guess. I liked Every Summer After a ton and I was excited to read about these characters again. BUT, I was still a little mad at Charlie. 😡 IYKYK.
He gets his redemption arc and I did really like him and Alice’s story. But it just didn’t have the yearrrrning that Sam and Percy had.
Super fast and enjoyable read and I’m glad Charlie got his happy ever after. Just not quite as memorable as ESA. I do want to visit Barry’s Bay now. Sounds so dreamy!
