Mistborn is an epic fantasy series set in a world ruled by an immortal tyrant where ash falls from the sky, mist rules the nights, and magic comes from swallowing and “burning” metals to gain specific powers like enhanced strength or manipulating emotions. It begins with a street thief named Vin joining a rebel crew that plans to overthrow the empire using a mix of heist strategy, political scheming, and the rare ability to wield all the metal-based powers at once, and across the series it grows into a larger story about faith, power, and how ordinary people reshape a broken world through risky choices and hard-won hope.

This is a fantasy series, featuring one trilogy, a sequel quartet, several companion pieces of various lengths (from short stories to full novels), and future planned trilogies
