I liked this quick little completed duology. There is a lot packed into it and if you don't want a 400 book commitment but do like a little more depth than a standalone - this is a good one. These 2 books definitely had me guessing with the flash backs as her past relationship unravel into the future. I loved that! There were some things that started to irritate me (which is why I didn't give it 5 stars). Queen Audra is just such a bitch - and we all know like calls to like 💁‍♀️, but it got old. You do understand a lot of it as the story progresses but Ella does maybe too good of a job at making her unlikable as the FMC. I usually don't like any sort of a love triangle situation but this was written really well IMO and had me really torn…until I wasn't, which I also liked. I really don't see this one out there on BookTok and it's an easy breezy read!
