So Thirsty follows Sloane Parker, a thirty‑something woman stuck in a miserable marriage and a life that feels smaller every year, who reluctantly goes on a birthday weekend away arranged by her cheating husband with her wild, free‑spirited best friend Naomi. Expecting spa robes and wine, Sloane instead finds Naomi pushing her to “really live,” which leads them to a mysterious group of strangers, a hedonistic party, and a horrifying encounter that leaves both women dealing with very literal, supernatural consequences—namely, vampirism. As Sloane and Naomi adjust to undead life, the novel uses bloodlust, immortality, and their fiercely loyal friendship to explore female desire, aging, and the refusal to keep shrinking themselves for others, blending dark humor and horror without revealing how they ultimately choose to use their new power.

Who doesn't love a vampire book?! This book is very on brand for me and I loved it, of course. Super fun read. Set in modern times in an urban setting with two besties, Sloane and Naomi, that end up in a life changing scenario and have to figure out their new lives together.

Maybe it's because I'm used to reading so many series now but I wanted a book 2! And 3! There could be so much more with the side characters. I loved the writing. The ending felt very abrupt and I wished we got a littler more depth with all the characters, not just Sloane. But this is an excellent spooky season read. And now I want to read Bad Sheep…
