'Compulsively readable and vividly written--it kept me awake long past my bedtime! Ariel Sullivan is a writer to watch' - Sarah J. Maas, #1 New York Times bestselling author of A Court of Thorns and Roses One man could offer her the world. The other will help her destroy it . . . Born to an Elite family, Emeline has been marked as different from birth and by a society that judges all its citizens on their ability to conform. Emeline only has one role open to her: to become a mother. Offered a pro-creation contract with Collin, a member of the Illum - the governing body of the Elite - Emeline finds herself increasingly torn between her growing complicated feelings for her proposed mate, and another man who lives on the margins of their society who challenges her ideals. When the marginalized rise up in rebellion, Emeline begins to question everything she has ever believed in. It's time to choose a side . . . 'A love triangle that will have you picking sides . . . then changing sides . . . then changing sides again. I read it in one sitting' - Veronica Roth, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Divergent

Jamie’s review

CONFORM

I've only read Conform so far and…. I'm confused. I know we are supposed to be questioning everything at the end of book 1. Like is Hal a bad guy? Is Collin a good guy? Who is the Reaper? I LOVE that I am questioning the two MMC's and their intentions. But I am also confused by the twists at the end. I don't think they were explained very well. I even re-read the last couple chapters just to be sure I didn't miss something that would make it more clear.

Emeline is our FMC and she's a "minor" meaning she has a minor visual defect (her eyes are two different colors) so she lives on the surface. The Elite live up in the clouds along with the Illum while the "majors" live beneath the surface in the underground tunnels. Excellent world building and power dynamics. CHEFS KISS.

I loved so much about this book and devoured it so fast. But Emeline acts very immature for someone being in her mid-twenties and the big reveals at the end just left me asking ….huh?…..??? But I cannot WAIT to see what happens in this Emeline, Hal, Collin love triangle! The storyline is perfection, love the betrayals and not knowing who we can trust.

And also, I would love more of Gregory and Nora's story, which is heartbreaking 💔 AND more of Violet and Rose's story. I loved all the side characters so much! GIVE ME MORE!

BENEATH

Technically a prequel book but released as book #2 so it's years and years before Conform ever takes place.

I ate this book up. No crumbs! One of my favorite reads of 2026. Everyone who said Beneath was even better than Conform, they were right 🏆

Sasha has been underground for 6 years, we aren't sure why the underground exists, who built it, or why it's unsafe "above." She ends up in The Force which goes above to find a supposed stockpile of supplies. But people are sabotaging the missions. Secrets and betrayals are rampant.

Found family, grief, suspense, twists, and spice! It literally has it all. I loved it!

Erica’s review

Woweeeee! Did this live up to the hype! Just finished Conform, book 1 out of which is supposedly going to be an EIGHT book series, 😮‍💨 and talk about some twists. Some I could see coming (and you probably will too), but I will also say that Ariel is TRICKSYYYYYY! Without spoiling what I think is going on - go reread that Epilogue, friends. REALLY read it. It is done SO clever. SO friggen clever.

Jamie read it about 2 weeks before I did so I knew she was confused by the ending so I made sure to read it VERY slow. I'm glad I did and it's why this didn't get 5 stars for me. It was just kind of a monologue info dump at the very end and I kind of hate that in books. I like action and things actually happening, not just a monologue of things being explained, but that's neither here nor there right now.

LOVED the constant questioning of who is good or bad, who's side are we actually on, who are we freaking rooting for here? So fun! At one point I took a note for myself that said: for a book where really nothing is going on, I cannot put it down! Its wild. The writing is incredible, the characters are so well done, all flawed but lovable (except Vincent and Edward and most of the Elite…they can rot), and I LOVED how Handsmaid's Tales coded this was. What an emotional rollercoaster that was - excellent!!
