Wed me. Bed me. Slit my throat.

Born in dirt, raised in rot,

I dig graves for the dead,

While the living decay around me.

When my brother coughs blood,

He appears.

A man too polished for the graveyard,

With a bargain too cruel for the light:

Seduce the King. Become the Queen.

Die. And my brother lives.

Kael is a nightmare of living ruin,

The rotting ruler of a festering realm.

And Vale is his shadow,

The cold architect of my demise.

One man needs my heart to beat.

The other plans to stop it forever.

They think I'm a pawn.

But I'm the gravedigger's daughter.

And I know exactly where to bury them.

Welcome to the funeral.

Crown Me Dead is a dark fantasy romance novel, and book one in the Heartstring Duet. The two-part story features deception, mystery, more deception, a handsome liar, and the woman who wants to bury him, along with a HUDDTPMYL... Happily Until Death Does Them Part Many Years Later (yes, the author made that up). This world contains dark elements, violence, and themes some may find disturbing. Readers can find more detailed information on www.livzander.com. What this book doesn't contain is a hero - because villains do it better.

Jamie’s review

F*cking cool. Making me cry over a dumb love story 😭😭😭 WTF LIV ZANDER! This is not ok! How am I this emotional over fictional characters, one of which is not even human?!

This super short duology is about a gravedigger named Elara and how she gets involved in helping to stop a curse that is turning everyone and everything to rot.

It's spicy and funny and will punch you right in the guts so read at your own risk, but I HIGHLY recommend that you do.

Erica’s review

Even a few chapters in I was thinking, "this is gross….it's not for me". NOPE. BIG. FAT. NOPE! And this is why I don't freaking DNF people! If I did - I would have stopped and missed out on such a beautiful duology. A duology I ultimately gave FIVE STARS! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

If you want a book/series where you will go through every single emotion - this is IT. The wild part about the ending (spoiler-free), is that you KNOW it's coming. You know it and it still devastates you, but in a weirdly good way?? It's hard to explain if you haven't read it yet, but if you have - IYKYK! Read it. It's amazing.
