The Rebel Blue Ranch series is a contemporary Western romance collection set in and around Meadowlark, Wyoming, following the Ryder siblings and their tight-knit small-town circle as they navigate love, second chances, and figuring out what “home” really means. Across the books, characters wrestle with career upheavals, past heartbreak, and complicated family dynamics while working on or around the sprawling Rebel Blue Ranch, where rodeos, ranch projects, and town hangouts keep throwing them together. Each installment focuses on a different couple with its own tropey tension—such as returning-home restart, boss/employee friction, or friends-to-lovers—while shared settings, side characters, and family bonds connect the stories into one warm, slow-burn world.

Jamie’s review

Disclaimer - I have only read Done and Dusted and Lost and Lassoed, so far.

DONE AND DUSTED

My first Lyla Sage book! Super fast read. Fun and cute and 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️!

Emmy is a barrel racer that had an injury and needed a break. She moves back home to the family ranch in Wyoming where her brother's best friend Luke is a smokin hot cowboy that wants to help her get back in that saddle ifyaknowhatimean 🤠😂

I loved the western small town setting. I didn't have the bar set all that high for this one but it surprised me with how much I enjoyed it! Easy peasy palette cleanser and pretty fiery on the spice scale 🔥

LOST AND LASSOED

Well, that was adorbs. I felt like Gus and Teddy were very relatable characters and I like how Lyla Sage writes very real life storylines.

The progression from hating each other to loving each other went a little fast for me. I wanted more angsty tension. But, I love the grumpy sunshine dynamic and OF COURSE, I love a single Dad trope.

Cute potato chip book you can fly through while also wishing you had a horse named Maverick.
