I feel like I finished a marathon reading this series – and I only read the 10 books (including 8.5 “Beyond the Veil”). Honestly, things started out super strong. I was into it, I breezed through the first 7 books in record time. And thennnnnn, the struggle. After book 7, it was a slog. I was very literally angry with the authors (two sisters, btw, affectionately nicknamed “the twisted sisters”) for not letting ANYTHING GOOD happen, EVER. You are in the pit of despair the entire time and I was just like ENOUGH already, holy shit!

The first 3 books contain intense bullying, this series is the truest form of bully romance. The spice is also spicing the MOST. So prepare yourself for both of those things.

I think I am an 8 book max type of girlie, this series just dragged on and on for me. BUT, I was/am obsessed with the characters. Like they are real in my head and I love them. The banter is FUNNY. I LOL’d so much, even though they are in a constant state of MISERY, they are very funny about it. Darius ❤️ and Seth ❤️ and Geraldine ❤️❤️

Maybe don’t read this if your life is chaotic and stressful and you read for an escape, like me. But if you are a masochist like Erica, then you will love Zodiac Academy.

This is my Roman Empire. I think about putting everything down, stopping absolutely everything I’m doing, running off to a deserted island alone and picking up this thousand book series once again. I can’t help myself. To me, this is the perfect mix of angst, yearning, fun magic and shifting, best banter of all time, hottest characters, true enemies to lovers, sexiest spice and wild twists. I’ve never laughed AND cried so much throughout one series. I can still think of certain parts and feel how it made me feel while reading it!! I do understand Jamie’s points….but while she was getting annoyed – I was screaming, “I WANT MORE!” I have never in my life finished a book or series and immediately restarted it, and I did with ZA. I don’t know how the Twisted Sisters suck me in like they do, but they just get me. If I could give it a million stars – I would. I don’t know if a series will ever top this one for me.

ACOTAR was my first love, but even typing this review, thinking about my love for this series – I feel like I need a cig. Imagine reading it then turning into that Ben Affleck meme…you know the one. But, God, should I stop writing this and go read it again? I should right?! Ugh….I can’t quit ZA!!! Side note – you don’t have to read the Novellas. They are little additions for us addicts but not necessary to the story if you just want the meat.

Overall – If you love to be hurt by a book and also love a killer story and the best most hilarious characters to fall in love with forever – you won’t be disappointed.
