Fairydale is a dark gothic fantasy romance novel by Veronica Lancet about an orphaned English teacher, Darcy O'Sullivan, who travels to the mysterious town of Fairydale to claim an inheritance from her biological father. Once there, she becomes entangled in a supernatural web of secrets and finds herself torn between two dangerous and enigmatic men: the brooding Caleb Hale and the ancient spirit of Amon d'Artan. The synopsis highlights the story's themes of mystery, supernatural forces, and a complex romance, with a promise of dark, twisty, and potentially morally grey elements.

Erica’s review

I picked this standalone up during October for a quick "spooky season" read and it definitely fit the creepy bill. A lot of people love this book, it just wasn't my cup of tea. There is just a LOT going on for a standalone and I had trouble following along. ADHD? Likely. It's very paranormal, very ominous, very creepy, very…WTF is going on. The. Entire. Book. Some people love that. I don't. I need answers, dammit. I was actually just reading a summary to make sure I remembered it all correctly and was like, oh, I definitely did not get that. But hey, if you like a strange, ominous, creepy standalone - this might be for you!
